[Inkscape-user] no redo in 0.92pre3

Hi Friends,
I don't seem to have any redo capability in 0.92pre3. I know since
0.91, it's been not working properly
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1372151). But at least after making
certain actions, it would jump into action. But now, I haven't seen it working
at all, through making a fairly significant image (to test the gradient mesh).
(It's almost finished.)
Aside from using the gradient mesh tool, I've used a ton of node editing
(which is what would bring the redo back into action in 0.91, but doesn't now),
some filters, some clipping, an extension, used a layer blending mode. But at
no time have I been able to redo anything. The button remains grayed out
constantly.
Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit, Inkscape 0.92pre3, 64-bit, 7z package.
Any other info I can provide? Should I make a bug report?

Oh, my memory is not so good. Re-reading that bug report, I see that I already
commented about 0.92pre2, a couple of months ago.

But the difference now is that I can't get the re-do button going at all now.
I'd hate to wipe out all my prefs. But if the culprit could be identified, at
least I could change that one pref, whatever it turns out to be.

Since this is really a serious problem for me, unable to Redo, I've added a more
detailed comment to this bug report:

If anyone has time to look into it, I would really appreciate it. I can provide
fresh prefs and template files, if needed.

Whether anyone has time to fix the bug or not, I would just like some kind or
workaround, to make the Redo button work, until it can be fixed.
