[Inkscape-user] Changing arrowhead size and color?

Hi list,

I am trying to make a flow diagram with Inkscape 0.45 on Windows XP.

(1)
I have arrows pointing to and from text. Whenever I move
the text, I am deleting the arrow and making a new one, because I
cannot seem to move/scale the arrow in such a way that the size and
aspect ratio of the arrowhead is preserved. Is there a better way?

(2)
I can change the arrowhead color to match the line by going to
Effects -> Modify Path -> Color Markers to Match Stroke

But each time I do this I get additional End Markers. For instance, if I had used Arrow1Lend, each time I invoke the function above I seem to get another marker, Arrow1Lend[x], where [x] is a letter of the alphabet. Because of the procedure I described in (1), I have a ton of these extra markers... is there a way to prevent this?

I'm not sure about question 2, but I just tried creating a multi point line
and put an arrowhead on it. Then when I select the node editing tool I can
grab the node at the arrowhead and move it around freely and the arrowhead
stays with it and stays perpendicular to the end of the line (ie. it remains
pointing in the correct direction). As far as scaling goes, you might end up
having to just adjust the nodes with the node tool to reorient the line. If
you try scaling it you'll mess up the line width anyway along with the
arrowhead.

I also tried the color matching method you described in (2) and it seemed to
match colors correctly. I'm not sure about the end node issue though, it
didn't seem to add any nodes to the arrow object or line as you described,
it simply made the arrow head match the stroke color of the line.

Not sure if this helps too much.
